The Hotel Kapitány**** Wellness and Conference was built directly at the bottom of the Castle Sümeg. The hotel in its historical environment with its oriental style bath, special wellness services, traditional and slender gourmet dishes and interesting programmes offer the luxury of recreation and relaxation during the whole year.

The Hotel Kapitány Wellness provides 154 rooms for guests. Most of the rooms allow
their guests to admire directly the panoramic view of the castle and hill from their balconies and windows. The air-conditioned rooms and suites are all equipped with elegant bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, TV, internet connection, minibar and bathrobe.

The hotel’s King Saint László Restaurant has capacity for 150 people. The Restaurant gives an excellent taste of ancient traditional and contemporary gourmet dishes as well as specialities of the international cuisine. Historical experiences – Medieval dinners
The main elements of the programmes are from the medieval historical times. That
means we have various weapon exhibitions and tournaments with dance-shows,
horse-productions (archery, single combat, “karusszel” production with Arabian horses), poems, flag-turning production, fire blowing.
Our guests can leave their cars and buses in the hotel’s car park which is guarded.
Knightly-costume welcoming
The commander of the castle, the queen, the young ladies and the knights welcoming
the guests in costumes at the entrance of the Castle garden and go to the Castle-Inn’s terrace where personally the commander have a welcoming speech for them.
Our guests can see the Sümeg Castle, the horse stable and the saber and riding car
international exhibition. The program is also included a medieval dinner. This means that we can eat without cutlery, with hands just like in the historical traditions.
That’s why before the dinner our guests have to wash their hands in lemon water.
Under the dinner we can hear gipsy music and braves and young ladies are serving
in costumes. In the Knight Hall we await our guests with cake and pálinka. When
they take a seat they can hear the Castle’s history in Hungarian and German language. After that the performance will starting.
In July and August we have this Medieval Performances three times a week in the Sümeg Castle.

all little boys and girls to our Kindergarten in the legendary world of the Middle age.
We can arrange graphocompetition or mini disco, listen music, play board games, and
if you want we can tell you tale or play with the puppet-show.
How to get there
Sümeg lies on the western part of the country 180 kilometres far from Budapest,
20 kilometres far from the Lake Balaton, 30 minutes from the Fly Balaton airport in
Sármellék and 100 kilometres far from the nearest western crossing point next to the road 84.

The latitude of the town is 46 degrees 59 minutes 05 northernthe longitude is 17
degrees 16 minutes 52 eastern.
The route to the Hotel: You have to go on the Mainroad M7 from Budapest till the turnout Veszprém. From this turnout you have to go on the road 8 through Veszprém till Devecser. In front of Devecser direction sign shows the way to Sümeg, after 4 villages (the last is Csabrendek) by the road fork you have to take a turn to the left and by the second road fork to the right.
